Congratulations to Lisa Sprague, RN, the February Tidewell Difference Award winner. Her nomination, made by a colleague, explains how Lisa made a difference as an admissions nurse on the South Home Team.

“I received a call from the wife of a patient Lisa admitted,” the nomination read. “She called to let me know that Lisa is a ‘jewel in Tidewell’s crown.’ The wife went on to mention that when she scheduled the appointment to meet with an admission RN, she had fear and anxiety of what she thought was going to be an ‘uncomfortable and emotional death discussion.’ She described Lisa as efficient, respectful to both she and her husband, professional, compassionate, an excellent communicator, and most importantly comforting. The wife reported that by the time the discussion was over and the admission to Tidewell Hospice was complete, she and her husband were comfortable and at peace knowing they were ‘ready for an incredible journey with Tidewell Hospice and we know we are in excellent hands.’”

Lisa was recognized by CEO Gerry Radford at the Rand administration building with a certificate, a special Tidewell Difference pin, a $50 gift card and one day of personal leave.
