More than 1,100 volunteers are active in countless programs that benefit Tidewell patients and families throughout Manatee, Sarasota, Charlotte and DeSoto counties. Whether it’s running errands, delivering meals or sitting vigil with a patient, volunteers are deeply involved in the team approach that is Tidewell’s community of caring. No task is too small or without impact.
The Tidewell Volunteer Difference Award honors our Volunteers for setting an example for others by exhibiting one or more of Tidewell’s Core Values – compassion, integrity, respect, communication, development, stewardship and teamwork.
If you feel a volunteer has made a special impact please take a moment and tell us about your experience. As a patient, a family member, loved one or a Tidewell employee we all appreciate our volunteers and their kind deeds, help us let them know!

Nominations for the Tidewell Volunteer Difference are accepted at any time. All Tidewell Volunteers are eligible for nomination. In order to win, nominees must be in good standing and have been a volunteer with Tidewell for at least six months. Nominations should be based on a specific action(s) taken by a volunteer that demonstrated one or more Tidewell Core Values, with consideration given that the act meets the expectations of Tidewell’s established boundaries for volunteers. Past winners are eligible for nomination one year after their recognition.

Nominees who are not selected as the monthly winner can be re-nominated for the same action once more, and only during the following month. Self-nominations are not accepted.
